VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
(Current & coming soon)

  • Pantry Pro (Current)

Make a difference by helping others shop for essential groceries and keeping our pantry shelves stocked and ready to serve the community! Great for people looking for group atmosphere. These positions work with other volunteers to make sure our clients have access to whatever they may need – non-perishable items, hygiene products, meat, produce, dairy and baked goods. These volunteers would be comfortable answering questions and providing guidance for navigating the pantry. Some lifting and reaching may be required, although we all share the load.

  • Welcome Wizard (current)

Be the friendly face that greets our clients, checks them in with ease, and helps create a warm, welcoming experience at the pantry! This position is great for someone who is familiar with a computer or an iPad. The volunteer helps get information for new clients entered into our database and checks in and/or updates existing ones. Occasionally the volunteer also asks for feedback and/or administers surveys or offers information on other local assistance.

  • Board of Directors Member (current)

Our Directors help guide the pantry to be sustainable so we can continue to help those who need it. Time commitment is approximately 15-20 hours/year including fundraisers, with a three-year commitment to the Board. These volunteers either have ideas or energy to help others execute ideas…or both! If you are passionate about helping others and you like to think about the big picture, this is the position for you.

  • Organization Ninja (current)

If you have the sort of skills where not a paper is out of place, and you can always find files on your computer, then we need YOU at Community Center of Hope. Help our Executive Director find her desk by assisting with data entry, filing, running reports and more. This volunteer will have strong organizational and computer skills as well as a good attitude for a Director who has a lot of ideas, but not a lot of time to execute them!

  • Pantry Pickup Partner (Current)

Volunteer drivers in this position will be on a recurring or on-call schedule to pickup up food purchases and/or donations. Currently, Community Center of Hope receives recurring donations from various Feeding America Direct Connect Partners, as well as federal food orders from our TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) administration. Volunteers must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. Some bending and lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

  • Resource Rockstar (coming soon)

Resource Rockstars help guide clients to the resources they need while making meaningful connections in the community! These volunteers will play a key role in empowering clients by helping them access valuable resources and services from other programs they may qualify for. This volunteer would be interested in engaging with clients onsite, identifying their needs and connecting them with available resources such as WIC, FoodShare, housing support, and more.

  • Community Care Couriers (Coming soon)

As a Community Care Courier, you'll be the friendly face delivering groceries to food pantry clients who have difficulty leaving their homes. Your role is more than just delivery—it's about bringing a little extra kindness and ensuring that neighbors in need have access to nutritious food with a smile. You'll be a vital link between the pantry and the community, helping to make a real difference in people's lives. (This position will work in teams of 2 and will be a driving position.)
